Rogue Leveling Guide

I’ve spent some time here constructing a rogue leveling guide to help you through the whole leveling process which can at times be a real pain. If you’re leveling a rogue and have no idea what path is the best, what you need to do is implement a combat rogue spec.
Now as good as the following guide is, it’s nowhere near as good as a complete leveling guide. I have used one to level my rogue and I would recommend it to anyone else who wants to speed through the leveling process as quickly as possible.

Now as far as the talent distribution is concerned, here is an optimal Combat Rogue Spec:

And when it comes to what kind of attack sequence you’ll be following, here’s how it’s going to flow:
Open with: Backstab/Garrote -> Use Slice and Dice -> Use Sinister Strike 1-5x -> Finish with Eviscerate/Rupture
Believe it or not, this simple build can take you all the way to level 80. Once I had done the above research I thought I had enough info to level my rogue ASAP, but it didn’t turn out that way….
I Was Leveling SOO DAMN SLOW!
It was ridiculous…I found a good build and attack rotation, but for some reason the levels came real slow and I was getting real bored at only level 15…
So I started looking around for a more detailed rogue leveling guide, and a fellow guildie suggested the Zygor Leveling Guide to me, which was apparently the best rogue leveling guide out at the time.

Well, the guide is something that you actually install on your computer as an add-on for World of Warcraft. What it does is it places a giant green arrow in front of your character which constantly points you in the direction of what quests you need to pick up, what enemies to kill and where you need to turn them in. Just by following the arrow, you’re guided through the quests you need to complete and how to reach them in the most efficient way.
You also get a dialogue box which gives you a short description of the task list you need to complete, so you might see something like:
Kill 12 Bloodspore Harvesters in the Borean Tundra for “Vermin Extermination” at (23,42)
Obtain 8 Tempest Motes from Enraged Tempests for “Motes of the Enraged” at (25,34)
Turn in “Vermin Extermination” Quest to Scout Tungok
Now as well as this rogue leveling guide worked out for me, it wasn’t perfect, I did have some issues with it:
CONS:
- Even though you have an in-game guide, they for some reason took down the HTML version of the guide which I liked
- I’d like to see more video guides created for the difficult quests and also more detailed class guidance added
PROS:
- When you access your map, every step is laid out for you in order on V.2 of the Map Mod, complete with written directions on what to do in a dialogue box.
- A large green arrow constantly directs you in-game and shows you the path to take to reach your next quest or destination optimally.
- The guide Is legal, not a cheat or a hack so it won’t get you banned by Blizzard
- You can use the leveling guide for not only your Rogue, but all your other characters
- You get lifetime upgrades to the program and access to a members only forum where you can discuss the guide as well as tactics and strategies

I’ve used this on my Rogue as well as 7 other characters I have and each time I’ve been able to reach level 80 anywhere from 7-9 in-game days.
